Darrell,

I got my information from a copy of a handwritten manuscript in the Connectict State Library, "Thomas Nevins' Family Record," CS 71 N51 1890za. You can probably get a copy by contacting the Connecticut State Library. As per the note on the first page this manuscript was originally written by a William Nevins of Falmouth, MA. The CT State library got its copy from a Mrs. Reed of Falconer, NY in 1924. I obtained a copy from the CT state library in the hopes that it would shed light on my ancestors -- I am descended from a Samuel Nevins who immigrated from Ireland (or, possibly Scotland) to New England about 1720. The "Thomas Nevins' Family Record" provides an extensive genealogy of a Thomas Nevins who immigrated (also from Ireland or Scotland) to Nove Scotia in about 1711. It is not clear if this Thomas is related to my Samuel (from their ages Thomas could be Samuel's son). If we're distant cousins, then the connection is back in Ireland or Scotland.
