MY QUESTION: Benjamin Dever was my direct ancestor. I have found no cousins of his that would be Grace Nevin. Can someone please identify how this family is related? I thought perhaps Elvin Dunbar was the connection, but can find nothing to confirm this suspicion. How are the Nevin and Dever family connected?
Here is what I have identified about the Nevin family thus far:
Apr 1833 William Nevins is born in Ohio
Dec 1833 Elizabeth Daugherty (who will eventually marry William Nevins) is born, either in Ohio or Virginia

1860 James Busic is born to Arthur Busic and (according to the 1925 Linn Co Census) Elizabeth Way. James is identified as Elizabeth Nevins son in at least one census.
Around 1860, based on children's births (who is the mother of Inez?) William Nevins and Elizabeth Daugherty married
1826-1862 Inez Nevin is born
July 1872 Maude Evelyn Nevin is born
April 1874 Grace Nevin is born
1876 William Alexander Nevin is born
22 Jul 1870 Census
Wm. Nevins (aged 38), Libby (35)(William's wife), Inez (9), James (9) (This is probably the Busic boy, although here his surname is Nevins)

William is living alone with his 2 children, Gracie and William.
26 Aug 1919 in Custer, Custer, South Dakota William Nevin (the father) dies
1920 Census Jefferson, Buchanan, IOWA
Record for Ben Dever. In his house were his cousin Grace Nevin, his wife Nellie and two children Lyle (Lisle) and Geraldine. Ben (31), Nellie (26), Lisle/Lyle (5), Geraldine (2) and Grace, the 44 year old cousin, lived in household /family 167/170.
