Leonie,

By coincidence, I've been trying to find out more about William Manson Nevin as well (but not for genealogical reasons). I'm working on a biography of the Scottish-South African educator, politician, and scientist, Alex W. Roberts.

Roberts taught at the Lovedale Missionary Institution. The 1908 Lovedale Report (p.11) states that W. Manson Nevin, B.A., was hired to help Roberts in the Normal Department. It also says that Nevin had previously worked for the Government of the Orange River Colony. He is not mentioned in other annual reports, so he likely stayed at Lovedale for only one school year.

I hope this little tidbit is of interest to you!

Keith
