Doughty/Dukes/Nevin Philadelphia PA
I am resubmitting this as I have additional info added to it.Any advice or directions would be most appreciated.
I found my Great Grandparents, Bernard Doughty and Susan Kilroy in the 1900 Census, at the National Archives in Philadelphia, PA. It states that they both immigrated 18 years (1882) prior to and married 17 years (1883) prior to the 1900 Census. Later, I found their marriage records at St Agatha/St James Church in Philadelphia PA on January 25, 1885.
Most of this information, I have from that Census, if anyone can add to this info or direct me, I would be most grateful.
Bernard Doughty, 2 birth dates, b. May 2, 1862 (on Census), June 16, 1862 (on Death Certificate)in Ireland, d. April 25, 1922,Phila.
His Death Certificate shows his parents as Jos/Jas Doughty and Rose (no last name). His death was reported by Mrs. Susan Nevin (his daughter). He was living at 706 Harmony St (Phila) at the time of his death.
His wife, Susan Kilroy, 2 birth dates, (b. May 3, 1858 (on Census), b. August 22,1863 (on Death Certificate), d. March 3, 1917 Phila. Her Death Certificate shows her father as Michael McGarvey, Mother's name was left blank. Her death was reported by Daniel Dukes, her son in law, who was my Grandfather.Susan was living at 3624 Moravian St (Phila) at the time of her death in 1917.
In the 1900 Census, it is shown that they had 4 children;
Joseph, b. Nov. 12, 1884
John, b. Nov. 1, 1886
Mary, b.Jan. 3, 1889 (my Grandmother, married Daniel Dukes in 1908)
Susan, b. Oct. 19,1892 (She married Albert Nevin), Susan died at age 33.They had a daughter Clara, who lived only 3 days and I believe a son Bernard Nevin and maybe another daughter.
Also found Bernard and Susan "Dowdy" in the 1910 Census living alone on Spruce Street in Philadelphia PA
i would appreciate hearing from anyone having a connection to, or information to these individuals.
Thank you
