I was formerly married to a Nevers, whose grandfather was born in New Brunswick by the name of Edmund Alonzo Nevers m. Christina B.Jackson of Iceland, the family story went that Edmund's father and one brother came to America to escape the French Revolution (from Nevers, France)...whatever the case, there are two branches in America as NEVERS; Edmund & Christina had 12 children, 8 of whom lived to adulthood, all born in North Dakota. One of these descendants is the famous Ernie Nevers who is in the football hall of fame - I believe he played in college for Notre Dame and later for the Green Bay Packers. Not sure of that info. Edmund's uncle's name I do not have; however, he could probably have been Daniel's father; the dates sound right. If you or anyone else knows the origin of these men, please let us know. Edmund had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. I do not have his dad's name, either.
