What is the age of the Roderick you have. There was a Jr & Sr.
Roderick Smith Nevers,Sr. is the s/o Lewis and Lois (Wright)Nevers born 30 Apr 1808 Springfield, MA. He lived in Buffalo, NY for a short while, then moved to Hartford, CT, where many other relatives were.
This is where he married Melissa Sykes in Oct 1834.
He was an engraver, as was his younger brother, Edward Shipley Nevers (my 4th ggfather).
