this may help Rudolph neumann had several brothers Emil who lived in Lubeck who was in stettin in 1866 lubeck in 1867 was a sea captain but retired and became a coal merchant in lubeck in 1875 at this stage his mother and ALL his brothers and sisters were alive and well and hamburg and Paul who lived in germany and a half brother carl who moved to cairo because of lung health problems these men and other members of what i understand to be a large family would have had offspring who could fit the age also when christian frederick rudolph (rudolph) and his brother first left stettin they went to England then America and then Australia before rudolph moved to Nz so family back in germany would have had an american connection the process of travel took Rudolph 10 years before he settled if you want to follow this please feel free to email me direct i can scan the info i have regards Sheri
