Sorry, I am not a Newman, but a few years ago I bought an old photograph from an antique store in a frame that has an emblem on the back, which states:
Adolph Newman & Son Fine Art, established 1865, 1704 Chestnut St., Phila.
I do not know if the the photograph was by AN&S or if they just made the frame. I also do not know the date, but when I bought the piece, I was told it was from approximately 1910. I have no idea if that is legitimate or not.
I have searched the internet for more information, but have found nothing. Does anyone know anything about this or have any similar pieces of art?
