Ida Neuman Eck and Carl Eck, her husband

I am trying to find info concerning Ida Neuman Eck and Carl Eck who apparently came to the U.S. in 1902 on the Kronprinz Wilhelm and sailed from Bremen, Germany with four children, Leonhardt, Curt, Helene and Arwed, ages 2 through 6 years. They later had a daughter named Alice but on her birth certificate they listed their names as Charles Eck and Ida Makakaosdother. I have since learned that the "dother" means daughter and that this was not a real surname. So, now I have found through Curt's SS-5 form that her maiden name was Ida Neuman. Curt was apparently born in Tauropgen, Germany ( I'm not sure of this spelling because it isn't very clear.
