I am very interested in learning about your family. Through my research, the majority of the Neuffer's/Nuffer's came from Southern Germany (Wurttenburg, Bavaria, etc.) I know that not all individuals with the same or even different spellings are directly releated; however, we all do seem to be from the same area in Germany. I thought that some of our research might cross over and be able to benefit each other. I tried the address you left for your Aunt, but received no reply. Maybe you could forward this information to her. My family immagrated to the US in 1880 from Neuffen, Wurttenburg, Germany (a small towm approx 18 miles SSE of Stuttgart. My Great-great grandfather, John Nuffer, was born in Neuffen and immagrated to Idaho in 1880. I have setup a web site with genealogy info at http://www.geocities.com/jnufferus/JohnNuffer.html Some of my Great-great grandfather's ancestors used the spelling Neuffer. Many of the family members have changed the spelling since leaving Germany. Other spellings include: Neuffer, Neufer, Nufer, Nuffer, etc. MDN
