I have found out that the mentioned Neufeld was either "Austrian or German", that is from within The Austrian Empire or probably Prussia.
He was a sales representative and was in Norway (Kristiania, earlier name for Oslo) around 1861.
His name is spelt different in Norwegian church books, so it might have been Neufeldt or Neufelt or Neufeld. The church books does not tell where he was born. He is mentioned twice in the Church books. First time in 1862 at the baptism of his son Thorvald and later in 1887 when Thorvald married Inga Lovise Hansen.
