I also have Netzel or Neetzel ancestors but from the province of Brandenburg, Germany. So your search name caught my attention. Netzel, by the way, is a German surname.

It is likely that your ancestors went east like many Germans, among them lots of Evangelical Lutherans, for finding better living conditions, and they were welcome.

Henryk Ludwick is Polish for Heinrich Ludwig.

I think you might get some help here: www.mittelpolen.de where you can put your query in the forum in English since many Germans understand some English.
