Hi Jim!

My name is Lisa Hafey, I'm the daughter of Sandra Stanley, who submitted the previous post. Linda Ives has given Mum some information that leads me to believe that her ancestor Alexander and my ancestor Isabella were brother and sister. Isabella Nethery and William Emery were married about 1811, when Isabella was 19, therefore meaning she was born about 1790-1791. If Linda Ives' Alexander was born about 1798 in County Fermanagh, the same county Isabella was born, then it's not too inconceivable to assume that Isabella was perhaps the eldest child of Lancelot (b. 1760), and Alexander was somewhere further down. Considering the size of families those days, then it's not too far fetched an assumption. Linda Ives' Alexander also had a daughter named Isabella, who died in 1850 of typhus, and is buried at Montreal. Also, she says that Alexander and Lancelot are family names - we have stacks of Alexanders which were passed down from the Nethery line into the Emerys.

The Netherys my family are descended from come from both County Fermanagh and County Tyrone. These are neighbouring counties, so it's again, not too hard to conceive of these Netherys being of the same family.
