Hello,
Not sure if you're still looking for relatives, but Erik was my grandfathers' twin brother. My grandfather survived the hardships of Japanese camps during WW2, his brother wasn't so lucky.
Presumably, his plane crashed due to oxygen shortage/malfunction. I'm sorry to hear it hit a farm.
