Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the information. It surprises me that he was married before. However, the name Cornelia Peelen doesn't totally. He name appears in my baby book in the family tree. I thought there possibly was a mistake. In the ships manifest it says Gysbert and Aartje coming over from the Netherlands. I will try the other spelling as you say and I will probably find out that Cornelia Peelen was Evert's mother. Thru the obituary of Nell Boterhoek one of Grandfather's siblings I found the communities they had lived. I found a grave of Gysbertus Van Veldhuizen in the Middleburg, Ia; Capel Township cemetery. I figure that's Grandfather's Dad plot. Then I tracked the other communities the family moved to and found a plot in Sheldon of Aartje Van Veldhuizen. I figure that was her plot. Cornelia Peelen must have passed away in Holland? Thanks for the leads on the two websites.
