Thanks for the improvements. I think that the town Fransker must be: Franeker.

but this site starts at 1811.
For the name Engeltje Jans this site starts at 1587, but this mother lived in the wrong province.
Many persons with ‘JANS’ were living in Franeker: see:

The first man with the name Abbe Poppes died at Amsterdam in 26-4-1629. In 1683 no Poppes dead.
Explanation: the name Abel (Abbe?) Poppese Goewey (Goewie ?)means: Abel son of Poppe(s); Goewey is an added name.
With the first name Abel: no dead in 1683.
