Hello Sandra,
Are you still offering to help with others research?
This is what I have.My g-grandmother Anna/Annie E. is listed under several maiden names.Things I know for certain is that she was born March 30, 1862 in New York (Brooklyn or Rochester).
On her death certificate her parents are listed as
Christen Sartman (b. Holland)
Elizabeth Peters (b. Holland)
Other names listed for her -
Sostman
Sassman
Sarsman
Sausman
Graul (on one record but she had been dead a few years and her name for her 2nd marriage was Graff.
Gaul (this is on a tree and I have not confirmed where they found this name).
I'm looking for an educated guess of what her name would likely be in Holland.Like, possibly a Z versus an S or because of the pronounciation, what would you think the likely spelling of the name.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Karen
