Hello My name is Hedy Kent and I was born in Surinam,South America. Surinam is a former colony of Great Britain and they swapped it with The Netherlands for the city now called New York..
Also I know there was/is a Plantage called Kent Plantage in Surinam
Anyway I wonder if anyone can tell me how the name came in Surinam.
