I'm amazed with Nestor being Irish

My maiden name is nestor. i've always believed my father's side to be polish. is nestor a typical irish name? or is that all that's posted here? I always assumed i was polish, but maybe not....

nestor means "wise man" in greek.

any history on the name would be helpful.
