Well, I can maybe help a little here (or at least add to the confusion--??!!).

I have the names of 13 NESTLE's buried in what is known as the NESTLE cemetery on Hickory Hill Road. The "patriarch" of the group buried here *could be* MARTINUS NESTLE, who died 1/12/1847 -- he would have been the spouse of Elisabeth Dillenbach and the father of the Christopher below (and also "your" Caty, Marcia!) However, that would have made him just about 100 years old at his time of death, so maybe not! (there are a LOT of Martin's, as we know!)

Next family:
(1) Christopher NESTLE, who was indeed born 10 Feb 1800 (died 6/6/1884 age 84-3-27)
(2) Mary GRAMPS Nestle, his wife, born 3 May 1799, died 4/19/1849 (ag 49-11-7)

Then several of their children:
(1) REUBEN, b. 26 May 1839; died 11/8/1908 (age 69-5-13)
(2) MARTIN, b. 1 Sep 1829; died 7/14/1900 (age 70-10-13)
(3) JAMES, b. 30 Jul 1827; died 10/29/1895 (age 68-2-29)
(4) JOHN HENRY, died 7/28/1901 (no info on his age at death)
(5) ELIZA ANN, b. 7 Dec 1820; died 11/15/1888 (age 67-11-8)

Those 7/8 are the only ones I have pinned down as pretty much "for sure" -- and btw, I have notes that neither James nor John Henry ever married, and apparently neither did Eliza Ann or she would not still be named NESTLE. I *believe* this information is from the Dillenbach geneology book.

The others I have (still to be discovered) are:

(1) DANIEL, b. 1835; died 3/4/1884 (age 89)
(2) LEVI, b. 27 Apr 1836; d. 8/12/1875 (age 39-3-16)
(3) another LEVI, b. 28 Mar 1818, d. 3/7/1840 (age 21-11-7 --possibly a brother to James, etc.)
(4) MARGARET, b. 19 Jun 1811, d. 6/7/1842 (age 31-0-18 -- could be sister or wife-?)
(5) MARIAH, b. 1824, d. 2/3/1912 (age 88 -- again a possible sister or wife)

I'll address your other questions in the next post.

Marsha Strong; OR
