Jacob Nester, 1761-1844, lived in Berks Co, Pa as a youth and served in the militia there. He later moved to Maryland and to Randolph and Barbour Co's, WVa. The mother of his children was his 2nd wife Maria Magdalena Durr. My webpage on him is: www.geocities.com/mdn3557/nesterr/nesterr0
Jacob's parentage is unknown, although some have claimed his father to be Johann Gottfried Nesler, or Frederick Nester (b ca 1709, d 1782) of Berks Co, Pa, and some have said his parents were John and Nancy Nester. No evidence whatsover has been given for any of these.
Carl Kenneth Nestor wrote his 3rd edition of this family's genealogy in 1983, and Andrew Nester (not related to this Jacob Nester) wrote an expanded history of this family in 2003.
