David and Cindy,
I have been working on the Nester genealogy, that is the ones descended from Frederick Nester, b 24 Apr 1739 Germany (possibly a son of Frederick Nester, b ca 1709, whose will was probated 1782 Berks Co, Pa).I have compiled a 400+ page genealogy on this family, and your branch around Glace, including Guy Clinton Nester is definitely one that I have traced back to Frederick.I am at work now, and don't have the details in front of me, but will gladly send you what I have. Can you send me details on what you have on your family?

I'll e-mail an outline of your ancestry soon. You can find a number of internet sites that have Frederick, b 1739, as a definite son of Frederick, b 1709.I haven't seen any info anywhere that adds anything to what I found out about the early Nester generations about 15 years ago.I sent copies of my early editions of my genealogy to many people, and apparently my comments that the Frederick, b 1739 was only "possibly" a son of Frederick, b 1709, were eliminated by many researchers. This is bad genealogy, as then people no longer look for the truth. Also there have been claims that Jacob Nester, b 1761, who lived in Randolph Co, Va (WVa) was a son of the older Frederick.Only one researcher ever mistakenly said that, and it has been erroneously placed on one of the internet sites - jogoad.. (Jody Goad). That Jacob has been extensively researched by his descendants, and they say that he was a son of Johann Gottfried Nester (who may have originally bee "Nestler"), who died when Jacob was a small boy, while returning to America after a business trip back to Germany.I have seen that info in a published book by Carl Kenneth Nestor on Jacob Nester, b 1761, and also on some internet sites.
