Don't think, seeing the Nesmith name, that I have come to help. I'm sorry, I can't. Hopefully, you have found some of what you are looking for by now. My husband wasn't from this branch of Nesmiths, but, one of the connecting families before Nesmith, SC. He was of John/Thomas/Thomas fr. NJ/PA/NC/SC/TN to north AL. But, when I went online looking at and for Black Mingo, saw your querie and the Nesmith name. Have been to Nesmith & Black Mingo area. Met the nicest lady, Pearl Nesmith, who could have helped you, I feel. However,she is deceased.
Just seeing if you had any help with these beautful Scottish families. Hopefully so.
