My Great Grandmother, Julia Nesmith Pruitt, born May 1, 1863 in Hayneville, Alabama, to Iverson Augustus Pruitt and Julia Frances NeSmith. Julia Frances was a sister to Samuel Perry NeSmith. I would love to get photos or any history on the NeSmith and Pruitt connection. I have been to the Hayneville, Alabama cemetery and have photos of the three gravestones.One is a double listing--Margaret Rhoda NeSmith, born March 12, 1818--died July 11, 1819 and Isabella California NeSmith, born November 19, 1854--died December 6, 1856. #2 is Samuel NeSmith, born September 16, 1859--died September 24, 1860. This could be S. P. and Julia,s child. #3 is an obelisk---Emme NOrma, daughter of Maj. S. P. & Julia A. NeSmith and wife of Rev. S. H. Nettles--Born in Hayneville July 12, 1857--died in Vernon, Florida, June 29, 1888. I don't have a lot to share. I'm still searching.
