Sarah Nesbitt is my ancestor who married Daniel Clary. I think they both were from Frederick, Maryland.
In the book "New Aberdeen, or The Scotch Settlement of Monmouth County, New Jersey", James Steen writes about a John Nesbitt with his wife Sarah, who left New Jersey in about 1750 for Rowan County, North Carolina. Mr. Steen goes on to say that John (1705-1755) and his wife are the ancestors of the North Carolina Nesbitt's. He also said that Mr. Nesbitt traveled with a friend, Alexander Osborne.
Can any body tell me anything more about this John Nesbitt and if he is the father of my Sarah Nesbitt? I cannot find another source for further information. Thanks...dj
