FRIDAY.
Mrs. J. W. SMITH, a sister of Mrs. BRUCE, arrived from Ellston, Iowa, to
visit.
J. J. CRILEY and family of Marshalltown, Iowa, came in. Mr. CRILEY returned
on the next train, the family remaining to visit for a week. Mr. CRILEY is a
brother of Frank CRILEY of this place.
D. F. NICHOLSON went to St. Joseph.
Mrs. Robert TURNER went to Leon to visit her mother, whose health is very
poor.
Prof. GUNSOLLEY went to Ravenwood, Missouri on business.
Mrs. Fred JOHNSON and babe came in from St. Louis, Missouri.
W. D. BRADLEY returned from St. Joseph.
Joseph LUFF came up from Independence.
SATURDAY.
Mrs. Daniel JONES returned from her protracted trip to New York, where she
was called by the sickness of her mother, who died a short time after her
arrival.
Albert ACKERLY and family came in from Grand River, to visit relatives.
Mrs. Thos. BRININGER, returned to her home at Blythedale.
James TEALE, of Davis City, came in accompanied by his sister-in-law, Mrs.
Joseph TEALE, of Dorchester, Nebraska.
Mrs. J. H. LUNN of Kansas City, returned to her home.
Elbert SMITH and wife went to Leon.
W. H. KELLEY started for Des Moines, and thence will go to his mission field
in the east.
Miss ROBERTS, a sister of Mrs. Daniel JONES, came in with Mrs. JONES and will
remain.
SUNDAY.
D. F. NICHOLSON returned from St. Joseph.
Mrs. MCCORMACK and Mrs. DOBSON came up from St. Joseph to attend the funeral
of their sister.
MONDAY.
F. M. HANCOCK, of Holden, Missouri, arrived on his way to Wisconsin to visit
relatives. He stopped to visit the D. C. WHITE family with whom he is
acquainted.
Mrs. Mary BARNARD and Mrs. Nettie STUART, closed their visit with Mrs. J. O.
CLAPP and family, and started for their home at Deer Lodge, Montana.
C. A. WICKES went to Kansas City.
Prof. J. A. MCINTOSH, of Davis City, came in to look up his prospects as a
republican candidate for county superintendent.
Elder S. B. COLEMAN, of the Advents, residing at Villisca, Iowa, was in town.
Mrs. Fred ROBERTSON and two children started for Arcadia, Wisconsin, for a
protracted visit.
Mrs. Ferd RAUSCH went to Decatur City, for a visit with relatives.
M. T. BANTA came in.
Mrs. Joseph TEALE and James TEALE went to Kellerton.
TUESDAY.
Joseph SMITH and E. L. KELLEY went to Des Moines to witness the laying of the
cornerstone of the Iowa State Historical building.
John NELSON came in from Des Moines to see his sick father, James.
Mr. BURNS of Garden Grove, was in town.
