Samantha,
I am looking for James A. Nelson.
My James A. Nelson b. abt 1866 in Missouri and is the son of Thomas Benton NELSON & Mary Jane KILLMAN.
The last place I have James documented is living in his father & mother's home in Jack County, Texas in the 1880 Census. He is 14 years old and a note on the census indicates he is "crippled in back".
We know that Mary Jane & Thomas Benton Nelson moved into Indian Territory and are located in the 1900 Indian Territory Census. However, the only child living at home is "Lee", he is divorced and 28 years of age.
James has an older half-sister named Nancy Elizabeth "Lizzie" Nelson m. Jacob Zuber.James' other siblings are: Letha Matilda "Mattie" m. Thomas Lee Evans, William Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" m. Emmer S. Elliott, Francis Charles "Charlie" m. Mary Etta "Ettie" Mullins, John L.D. "Lee" m.??, and Ady "Addie" m. // Blair.
James' siblings are known to have lived in Jack County, Texas (Zuber), Indian Territory (Evans & Nelson), near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, in or near Holdenville, Hughes County, Oklahoma, in or near Fox, Oklahoma and Anadarko, Caddo County, Oklahoma.
Should any of these names be familiar to you, I would very much like to make contact and see if we can connect and then fill-in the descendants of James A. Nelson, the son of Mary Jane & Thomas Benton Nelson.
Anxious for your response.
