I am looking for My gaunt Carol Ann Scott. She was adopted in 1949 by Harry Freal and Helen Marie Nelson of Lincoln,NE. Have adoption letter sent to her bio-father to object to the adoption. Adoption took place in Lancaster County Court on April 11,1949. The adoption #1738. Any help would be great...my granny hasn't seen her sister since 1948 and would love to reunite. I know that Harry and Helen are both burried in Lincoln,NE..but don't know where. Helen died in 1953 and Harry died in 1983. Carol ann's name may have been changed to Caroline. She was 5 years old at time of adoption. When her mother (minnie a. (crine) scott) died in 1948 the family lived in Utica,NY. I don't know how she was adoted in NE except I found a record that Harry and Helen had a daughter (betty lou nelson) that died in Utica,NY so there may be family ties to the area..any help would be greatly appreciated..
