I am looking for any/all information that may be available for a Neils Nielsen, b. 16 May 1853. Father: Erick Neilson on Stedje b. 6 Nov 1816 Mother: Kari Johnnesdatter. Erick, Kari, Neils, Jens emigrated in 1856. Erick used Nelson as a surname but changed it later Steie (English for Steje). Kari changed her name to Mary then to Maria. Neils' brother Jens changed his name to Carl and then to Charles Steie. I can't find any information on Neils. He may have changed his name also. Any help is appreciated.
