Nelsons in Saskatchewan
Hello,
I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather, George Franklin Nelson. He would have been born in the 1880s and died in the 1970s. He was in the first world war as a doctor and then went on to become a psychiatrist. He ran the Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Battleford, Saskatchewan.
His daughters are/were Kate Irene (my grandmother - Wright was her married name), Mary Elizabeth, Margaret, and Betty. His wife was Agnes Dryden and she perished due to injuries sustained in a fire. He remarried a woman named Nan, I believe.
I can't find any information on George, which seems odd as you'd think he'd be a prominent figure at the hospital.
I'm looking to figure out his genealogy - I already have all the info on his kids... now I'm trying to search backwards through is family.
Thank you!
