I took some time to try and check out what you have here--great research work, by the way--and although I think you may be on to something, I have to suspend my certainty as to whether William G. is the son of William Neyle and Harriet Villepontoux (I love that name).
Checking them both out on familysearch.org, I was able to find both of their birthdates, and both appear to have been the children of Caucasians; however, since the records that familysearch uses are sometimes suspect,I am waiting for further confirmation. However, I suspect that you are on the right track with the "Neyle" family--it is pretty likely that William G. could have been part of the Neyle family and that Harriet his mother could have been owned by them--possibly even the William Neyle who married the other Harriet--or his father Samson or brother Gilbert.
I'll start working up a lead or two and see where it all goes.
