My grandfather's name was Fred Nelk he came to the U.S. from Wiesens,Ostfriesland, Germany some time in the 1870's. He married Trientje Habben in 1888. They farmed in Wheaton Minnesota for many years. They had six chrildren of which my mother Alice is still living at the age of 88 years old. Fred died in 1955 and trientje in 1953. By the way my grandma's nick name was "tina"
