hello there brad....i've been doing research on my family since i was little. i also happen to be a neily and something i've noticed is that when you're looking at names, take notice that under one surname the families very rarely incorperate new first names into their family until the 1900's.....just an observation.i've seen soooooooo many mary's and georges under neily! i'm going crazy! hahahaha! my real dad's name is richard neily, as was his father. but his father's father, was named george neily.i'm stuck here because i have only the fact that somewhere along the line they were marines and sometime back fought in the war of 1812 and also the king philips war.i was adopted so my whole life i've been in search of who i came from.all i've known so far is that i am native american and french canadian.......some say i have some english too....potett was a grandmother of mine, not sure of the spelling....so as i was starting to say....possible we may be related? wouldn't that be a trip? :) from what i know my family was at some point in time in new york, that's when 'my' grandparents married.so i couldn't tell you anything about the texas thing, sorry. :(
