Hi, Kristy,
Capt. Wm. Walker Neilson's land was located near where I grew up. Capt. Neilson came to Lowndes co. Ms. to help build the Hwy from Lawrenceburg, Tann. to New Orleans. he was one of Andrew Jackson's men as was my ggggrandfather Joseph Perkins was. Capt. Neilson was a good friend of Edward Brett Randolph, of the prominent Va. family. I'm trying to connect the wm.walker neilson's wife, who I believe was of the Lewis family of Va. My Robertson line is connected to the Lewis family also. As were the Randolphs.
Edward 'Ned' Randolph is buried in Columbus, Ms.(friendship
cememtery) Wm. Walker Neilson & his wife are buried at Vaughn's(my grandmother's family) Cemetery (abt. 8 miles from Caledonia Ms. & 3 miles from a town named Steens, Ms.)
I haven't researched his children, grand children etc., so I'm not able to help with the Beard lady you mentioned.
Do you know who Wm. Walker Neilson's wife was???
Hope you are still using this site.
