The really funny thing about this whole thing is that Robt. Wilson married Jane McDowell, dau of Wm. McDowell, believed to be a Son or brother to either Chas.of the old Line,or Joseph of the old line,or the brother of "Hunting John",or possibly the brother of a Samuel;although that Name doesn't appear in My line until much later! Here is the kicker: Lucinda"Lucy"Wilson, (haven't been able to connect to Robt.Wilson)married Zachariah White pror to 1775 in Nc? Thier Oldest Son was Dr. John White, wose dau.married Joseph Cathey McDowell,Son of one of the above...and also the Grandson of Geo.Cathey Sr. from near Cathey's Creek Tn. Joseph's Mother is documented as being Mary Cathey Dau of said Geo.Sr.,we are trying to find out which McDowell Mary Cathey was married to
before She married Andrew Neill Sr.and settled in Bedford/Marshall Co.,Tn. where the Cathey's were, and Joseph C. McDowell was, tsome Wilson's,etc.and they all had Family and owned Land in Williamson/Maury Co.Tn.,well this would lead one to believe that they were indeed on the right track
and it is all documented...but No McDowell Husband for Mary Cathey(McDowell)Neill!!!! Help!!!
