There may be no connection, but my grandfather was Alexander Cameron Neill. He was born in Belfast, (10 Oceanic Avenue), Northern Ireland on September 5 1883. His mother was Elizabeth Neill (formerly Cameron) and his father was William Monroe Neill. I believe Elizabeth was William's second wife.

I don't have much more info than that but I hope it helps.
