I have an original photograph of “Helen Noetzel Neil and her sons”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in 1929-30, and Helen looks about 30, while the boys look 10, 8 and 3.
I found Helen Noetzel in the 1900 and 1910 censuses for Chicago, as daughter of August and Minnie Noetzel, with her DOB April 1900 (named Wilhelmina in 1900 census and Helen in 1910). Indiana Marriage Collection states that she married John Neil on 2 Apr 1917 in Lake Co., IN, and OneWorldTree shows that her mother’s maiden name was Reitz. The 1930 census shows John J. Neil and Helen Neil, each were 30, he was a police officer and they lived in Chicago with sons John J. Jr., (9), George W. (7) and Robert A. (2y., 8 mo.).
