This american Neuhardt's 'genealogy' is really doubtful. There is a big error with Sophie de Lorraine who is unknown and the father is married with the daughter. Mathieu de Lorraine was married with Berthe von Staufen not Judith who is the daughter. I tried to explain to Dennis A.Kastens that it's false and there is a big mistake whith Sophie de Lorraine who doesn't exist at this time. The only one we can find in the wellknown House of Lorraine was married to Louis comte de Montbéliard. She was the daughter of Frederic II and Mathilde.
"People who are using nowadays the name of Ostertag von Windstein or Ostertag von Winstein only to use pompous names or who relate their lineage to this doubtful genealogy have to my knowledge no written legal proof of their blood filiation and refer to unexistent facts.
The Ostertag von Windstein have no known descendants. The lineage ended with Johan Ostertag von Windstein in the 15th century and Ostertag means only 'born on the Easterday'and was added to the name as a nickname.
In conclusion we can't trace back the Ostertags till Charlemagne. It's impossible!" And impossible to connect the Neuhart to Charlemagne and there is no proof that Ostertag von Windstein is related to Margareth Ostertag married to a Neuhardt.
Most of the Ostertags know it. Concerning the Neuhardt I don't know, a lot seem to use this genealogy. Best Regards
