Evidently Frederick NEHRING was living in Brooklyn, NY in September 1916 when he sent letters to his brother Adolph NEHRING in Illinois. I would suspect that he was in Woodhaven, in 1922; not in New Haven. Would be interested in learning of any NEHRING of Brooklyn, NY in 19th or 20th centuries. I suspect that Frederick NEHRING is buried in Kings or Queens County, New York.
