Hello I saw your interesting post. I am one of the Sergio Negron's nephews. According to my late grandmother, the negrons in Puerto Rico came first to th e west coast of the Island, specially to Sabana Grande, later my grand father moved to Ponce where he formed his famiily, Sergio was his oldest son. Sergio became one of the most famous radio broadcaster in the southern coast of Puerto Rico, he was also an expert in music, baseball and politics, he was a special aid to Ponce's mayor from 1972 to 1977 and also co-produced a movie.Sergio was the first person to broadcast a TV program from Ponce. He was a PR director for the Ponce Leoneswinter Baseball Team, among his friends hadfamous basball players and Mexican singer Marco Antonio Muñiz and puertorican Ednita Nazario. Another Negrons that are famous in Puerto Rico were former Popular Party governor candidate (1968) Luis Negron Lopez and Supreme Court judges Negron and Negron Fernandez ( Son and Father) my uncle used to say tha we were far related to them, because they were also originally from the Island west coast.
