Seeking information on the family of Isabella POWELL, 1853-1893 and Alford B. JOHNSON, 1850-1912 in Hamilton Co., IL. Isabella is a great granddaughter of Alexander NEGLEY. What I know (or think I know) is shown below. There is some question about Isabella’ parents with Floyd Rollin Negley assigning her to Alexander Powell with reservations. But the website for the Crouch Cemetery in Hamilton Co., IL asserts that Isabella’s parents were John and Lurinda Taylor Powell.
Can anyone provide additional information about the children of Isabella Powell and Alford Johnson?
But the mystery deepens because Floyd Negley also asserts that Isabella, the daughter of Alexander Powell, was married to a Z. SAPP. Clearly Isabella could not have been married to both Johnson and Sapp if the marriage dates indicated are correct. Could Isabella have been married to Z. Sapp BEFORE she married Alford Johnson? Could there have been two Isabellas? IF so, who were the parents of the one married to Sapp. I am confused!

He was born Abt. 1849 in of Gibson Co., IN.

Could there actually be two DIFFERENT Isabell Powell's. IF so, who are the parents of the one married to Z. Sapp?

Not listed by Felix C. Negley. Floyd Negley suggests that she is the daughter of Alexander Powell and Mary Burns, but is not certain if this is correct. She is listed here as the daughter of John Negley Powell and Lurinda Taylor based on information at the Hamilton Co., Ill web site for the Crouch Cemetery.
