In about 2000, the PITTSBURGH POST GAZETTE published an article on HIGHLAND PARK where they talked about the master plan for developing the park and included a reference to a house built by Anna Maria Berkstrasser Negley after her husband, Alexander Negley died in 1809. The house was damaged by fire in March, 2000 and was supposed to be restored and perhaps used as a nature center.
QUESTION: Has the house been restored and what is it used for today?
Where can I find a picture of the house?
I am seeking this information in connection with a major project to identify the descendants of Alexander Negley, a project which I hope to largely complete by the spring of 2008.
Willing to share information.
