Hi Stephanie:

Wow, so we're cousins of a sort. Betsey is my great great aunt on my mom's side.

Unfortunately, I am having the same problem about getting further back in the line. I have searched the 1841 census to see if I could find John Joseph Henry Neesom, but not having any luck. I even tried searching the IGI in Ireland for his birth/christening record in case the family originated in Ireland.

Not sure what info. you have re. Matilda, but her maiden name is Peploe and she and John Joseph Henry were married 1846 Leeds, Free BMD March Vol 23 Page 382.

Not really sure how to proceed. Any ideas?!
