Chester was my dad. There was also another son named Barlow and I believe that Barlow was the oldest of the boys.My grandmother's name was Dora. Her maiden name was Spears, but I'm not sure if they spelled it Spears or Speers. She had a sister Goldie who lived in Inman, Virginia and that's all I know about her.
My uncle Paul is the only living sibling left and I talked to him just a few weeks ago about James Patton Neeley's family and he said they knew nothing about them...they never talked about his family.I find that soo strange. He couldn't tell me anything! He also didn't know the name of the his first wife!
Thank you Brian for replying and I hope my info might have helped you some.I remember meeting Doc & Scott only once I believe when my grandpa died, but I was only 5 when he died.I know that my grandpa was loved by many because the funeral home director said it was the most flowers they had ever had in their funeral home and I do remember it was floor to ceiling all the way around and spilling out in the hallway.Funny what a 5 year old remembers. Thanks again.Gail
