I'm just beginning (for the 3rd time) to research my line of the quite confusing Neel family tree.
My father is Jerry Neel of Dallas Tx.
His father was Lindsley Benard Neel of Farmersville/Leonard/Blue Ridge Tx. who married Jimmie Fay Golden of Blue Ridge.
His father was Lindsey Roy Neel of Farmersville Tx. who married Sarah Viola Ripley.
His father was Edward (Ed) Neel of Mississippi who married Martha (Mattie) Ann Jackson. They had 9 children: Johnie Lena, Alma G, Arthur(Bud) Coleman, Dora Lela, Lindsey Roy, Ethel, Lester Cleo, Horace Veral, Vera Mae.
His father was George Neel of Mississippi.
George Neel is where I become fuzzy as there seems to be some disagreement in our family as to the roots prior to this. There are rumors that our family was originally O'Neel but I can't confirm this. Are there any relatives of mine out there that might be able to help me put the puzzle together.
