There is no proof that John Needels (original spelling according to the Mann records) was from England and this spelling is actually Flemish. There is no known record of Francis' surname, either. Therefore, there are no actual entry records. John II did marry Elizabeth Mann and I am a direct descendant. There does appear to be something in the Native American ancestry story and I feel that it begins with John I. If he is not Native, I do believe Frances is. Elizabeth had two sisters and there are stories of a brother, but to my understanding, he did not come to American until after Edward Mann (Elizabeth's father) died, when he tried to claim the properties which Edward Mann had left to his daughters. I have no record of his name. There is a journal which was kept by the Mann family and I can give you the information back to Sir Thomas Gray from it. There is also a non-published book about the Needels/Needles families which brings them into Ohio and tells which family went into Mo. I can give you info. from that, if you wish. If they stayed behind, I might be able to come up with names and birthdates which might help. I am not certain, but would be willing to try.
