Most of the Nedrows I've seen traced back to the 1700s seem to indicate the name is of German origin. At least part of the German branch was apparently named "Niederauer."
Over time in the New World, this changed around a bit (and indeed, some in the same generation had their names evolve differently).
From Niederauer, the name at time became Nittrauer, Netherow/Nethrow, and ultimately Nedrow.
There may be other derivations, but the Nedrow genealogies I've seen generally trace back to the name Niederauer.
