George M. NEDROW was born: 1826 and was enlisted April 20, 1861 in company E. Iowa Infantry. George was a Corporal in the Civil War. George was honorably discharged September 1862. He suffered wounds in Charleston, Missouri. Wounds consisted to injury to abdomen and hernia on the right side of the body. George was married twice. George first wife was Mary A. ORR. Mary ORR died February 28, 1870 and he married a second time to Mary A. GENTZLER who was a widow. Mary Ann GENTZLER was married before first to Jacob HOUSEHOLDER in April 1852. He died April 28, 1854. She married John GENTZLER who died March 2, 1868. He died in Columbus City, Iowa. George NEDROW lived in Page County, Iowa, Louisa County, Iowa in 1874, in Kirwin, Phillips County, Kansas in 1886. George NEDROW died April 12, 1906 in Kirwin, Phillips County, Kansas. His death was caused by disease of the heart, kidneys, and both eyes. George got a pension amounting to $8. George NEDROW was described as being 5 feet 11 inches, Dark Hair, Blue Eyes, 160 pounds. His profession was a farmer. He owned his own home, farm, horses, stock, etc. Affadavits were taken by Robert NEDROW age 43 and his wife Mary in 1907. Affadavits were also taken by James A. NEDROW from Cathage, Beaver County, Oklahoma. James was age 50 in 1907. These affadavits were to confirm that their stepmother was not remarried so as to enable her to collect the pension.
