Nelda- The census record in Tazewell Co. VA show in 1880 that John and Lucinda had a son born (apparently) 0n 4/12/1880-if that is how records were kept then. In 1880 he-john- was 71 years of age and she was 24 that year. the records show one son-John P. The John Preston that we know married Sally Lucinda(?)Honaker(whom we have tracked to Switzerland in 1520). They had three daus and two sons one of whom is Robert Henry who is my wife Nancy's father. And John P and Sallie lived for a time in Phillippi, WV in Barbour county. So i am confused- Also Lucinda lived with John P. and Sallie until she died in Huntington, WV. My wife knew them all. So did John P. marry Gillis first and then Sallie second and if so when and what else happened and when????????
i do not know how to contact you directly.
Thanks for answering.
Lawrence
