William Neale, died 1763 and his wife Anne died in 1785 in Charles Co., Md. Anne's maiden name is often given as Brooke and she is said to be a daughter of Leonard and Ann Boarman Brooke. I have serious doubts about this identification. Does anyone know the source of her maiden name? Do any of the records of her many children say that her maiden name was Brooke? William and Anne Neale had 7 sons, 6 of whom offered themselves to the Jesuit Order. Their son Leonard Neale was 2nd Archbishop of Baltimore.
